Junior Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

TechnoBIZ is seeking a Junior Cyber Security Engineer to design, implement and maintain security controls across cloud and on‑premise environments. The role focuses on protecting information systems, identifying vulnerabilities and responding to security incidents for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and manage firewalls, corporate antivirus, XDR/NDR, DLP, email security, IPS and network monitoring solutions.
• Act as the technical point of contact during security incidents, investigate breaches, determine root causes and apply corrective actions.
• Provide technical assistance to clients, clearly explain security concepts and support continuous system improvements.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or equivalent.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH or similar are preferred.

Required skills

• Experience with corporate antivirus tools (Trend Micro, Sophos, Kaspersky).
• Firewall configuration and management (Sophos, Fortinet).
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPN, 802.1X).
• Familiarity with XDR, NDR, DLP, email security, IPS and network monitoring solutions.
