Junior Remote DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated junior engineer to join our remote DevOps/SRE team. You will work alongside experienced engineers to build and maintain reliable cloud infrastructure that supports our translation platform for hospitals, courts and municipalities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain scalable AWS environments using Terraform.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or GitLab CI to automate testing and deployments.
• Develop automation scripts and tools in Python (or Go) to improve operational efficiency.
• Work with containerised workloads using Docker and orchestrate them on ECS/Fargate.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting with DataDog, Grafana, CloudWatch and ELK.
• Design disaster‑recovery and backup strategies for critical services.
• Enhance incident response processes and integrate security best practices such as IAM, encryption and secure pipelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field.
• Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of experience in DevOps, SRE or cloud engineering.
• Academic projects or internships involving AWS or DevOps tools are a plus.
• Strong eagerness to learn, solid problem‑solving skills and a passion for cloud automation.
