About the role
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for growing and managing assigned key accounts, driving sell‑in and sell‑out performance, and ensuring the execution of joint business plans and trade initiatives. This role focuses on delivering above‑market growth while building strong relationships with stakeholders across the pharma or consumer industry.
Key responsibilities
- Manage assigned key accounts and develop/execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key account stakeholders.
- Drive quarterly and annual targets, creating plans to increase sell‑out and market share.
- Align order planning with retail chains for each sales cycle.
- Monitor stock levels, expiries, and returns at both account and distributor levels.
- Coordinate with distributors and internal teams to ensure product availability and service quality.
- Implement primary and secondary displays according to planograms.
- Promote pharmacist advocacy through trainings, RTDs, and engagement programs.
- Prepare and present performance reviews, corrective action plans, and trade marketing initiatives.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred).
- Minimum three years of experience in trade, key account, or channel sales, preferably in pharma or consumer goods.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and presentation abilities.
- Performance‑driven mindset with a focus on ownership and accountability.
- Collaborative, solution‑oriented approach.
Required skills
- Proficiency in MS Office.
