Lady Health Visitor - Nutrition and Growth Monitoring

About the role

The Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan, part of the Aga Khan Development Network, is looking for an experienced Lady Health Visitor who reports to the Project Coordinator. The postholder plans, implements, monitors and reports nutrition-related activities at Basic Health Centers, community and field levels, supporting maternal, child and adolescent nutrition through growth monitoring, case management, follow-up, education and supplementation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement monthly nutrition activities at BHC, community and field levels.
• Register and conduct growth monitoring of children under five, pregnant and lactating women, adolescents and CBAS beneficiaries.
• Identify and manage cases of stunting, growth faltering, SAM, MAM and underweight mothers according to protocol.
• Follow up identified beneficiaries and defaulter cases to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide nutrition supplements to eligible beneficiaries and educate mothers and caregivers on their use.
• Run nutrition awareness sessions, cooking demonstrations and education sessions.
• Collect, record and update beneficiary, growth monitoring, supply and project data accurately and on time.
• Ensure timely data entry, reporting and documentation in line with project requirements and MNCH best practices.
• Maintain records of LNS, supplies, follow-ups and education sessions, and keep growth monitoring equipment calibrated and maintained.
• Coordinate with the regional team on case management protocols and quality standards, and support regional operations as needed.

Required profile

• Diploma in Lady Health Visitor or Midwifery from a recognized institution.
• Valid registration with the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC); fresh graduates with valid PNC registration may also apply.
• At least 1 year of relevant professional experience.
• Prior experience in data collection, reporting and digital health/nutrition systems.
• Legally eligible to work in Pakistan; no canvassing of any kind.
