Law Officer

About the role

Pakistan Vinyl Industries is looking for a Law Officer to provide practical legal guidance, manage documentation, and coordinate compliance within an industrial setting. The role involves drafting and reviewing contracts, offering legal advice on corporate and operational matters, and supporting internal investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft, and maintain contracts, notices, correspondence and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and provide concise advice on corporate, commercial, employment, regulatory and operational issues.
• Coordinate with external counsel, courts, government offices and relevant authorities as needed.
• Monitor litigation, claims and legal notices, maintaining status records and follow‑up schedules.
• Support compliance reviews, internal investigations, policy updates and document control across departments.
• Identify legal risks in business processes and recommend practical mitigation measures.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Pakistani corporate, commercial, labor, contract and regulatory law.
• Ability to draft and review agreements, legal notices, opinions, pleadings and official correspondence.
• Practical legal research skills, including interpretation of statutes, rules, notifications and case law.
• Experience coordinating litigation files, hearings, external lawyers and government departments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, sound judgment and strong attention to detail.
