Legal Associate

About the role

Software Finder is looking for a proactive Legal Associate to support its in‑house legal function. Working closely with the Legal Counsel, you will assist with commercial contracts, legal research, regulatory monitoring and compliance documentation for a technology‑focused SaaS business.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Legal Counsel in daily legal operations, workflow management, and matter tracking.
• Maintain organized legal files, contract repositories, corporate records and compliance documentation.
• Support implementation and upkeep of contract lifecycle and legal matter management systems.
• Develop and improve internal legal templates, playbooks, checklists and SOPs.
• Conduct legal research on technology, SaaS, data privacy, IP, commercial law and consumer protection.
• Prepare research memoranda, summaries and recommendations for review.
• Monitor regulatory and legislative developments affecting the business.
• Draft, review and redline commercial agreements such as SaaS subscriptions, master service agreements, data processing agreements, NDAs, vendor contracts, SLAs and software licensing agreements.
• Assist in preparing internal policies, compliance materials and corporate governance documents.
• Support preparation of documentation for disputes, litigation and regulatory matters.
• Track legal deadlines, filings, contractual obligations and case status updates.
• Receive and triage internal legal requests, escalating complex matters to Legal Counsel.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather information required for legal matters while maintaining confidentiality.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from a reputable institution.
• Valid licence to practise law or membership with the relevant Bar Council.
• Minimum two years of relevant legal experience in an in‑house, corporate, commercial or law‑firm environment.
• Strong legal research, analytical and professional writing abilities.
• Practical experience drafting, reviewing and redlining commercial contracts.
• Understanding of contract, corporate, commercial law and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and ongoing assignments.
