Lifting Equipment Inspector

About the role

The Lifting Equipment Inspector position is based in the Lahore office of the IVS department and reports to Omer Ishaq. The inspector performs inspection and certification of lifting equipment, accessories and appliances, works closely with the operations and technical managers, the inspection team, clients, the sales team, HSE and quality departments and subcontractors, and is expected to clear the backlog of pending inspections.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspection and certification of lifting equipment, accessories and appliances in line with applicable standards and procedures.
• Carry out visual inspections, dimensional checks, witness load tests and coordinate non-destructive testing (NDT) where required.
• Ensure inspections comply with API, ASME, LEEA and LOLER standards and client-specific requirements.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports and keep proper inspection records.
• Clear the backlog of pending lifting equipment inspections.
• Provide timely, professional inspection services to clients and maintain good client relationships.
• Follow HSE policies, keep work areas hazard-free and report hazards, incidents and unsafe conditions to the HSE representative.

Required profile

• Specialty LEEA certified (minimum 2 levels).
• Education: engineer degree or DAE.
• HSE training.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• Awareness of local and international LEEA standards and regulations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of LEEA, API, ASME and LOLER standards.
• Lifting equipment inspection and certification.
• Load test witnessing and NDT coordination.
