Low Current / ELV Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Low Current / ELV Engineer to design, install, commission and maintain low‑voltage systems across residential, commercial and industrial projects. The role involves close collaboration with architects, contractors and clients to deliver tailored solutions that meet functional and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed low‑current system designs, layouts, schematics and work schedules for CCTV, access control, fire alarm, BMS, SCADA, public address and structured cabling.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors and clients to customise solutions and ensure compliance with local codes and safety standards.
• Manage site teams, sub‑contractors, vendors and suppliers, overseeing material selection, installation supervision and quality control.
• Configure, commission and test all devices, ensuring proper wiring, network integration and performance verification.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as signal loss, connectivity problems and system malfunctions; perform upgrades, repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Integrate disparate systems (e.g., CCTV with alarms, access control with BMS) for seamless operation and compatibility with smart building technologies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of designs, installation procedures and system configurations.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience designing, installing and commissioning low‑voltage systems in residential, commercial or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of local electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to lead site teams and manage subcontractors.
• Excellent problem‑solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
