Management Accountant – Finance & Tax Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Management Accountant to join HR Business Solutions in Islamabad. The role will own month‑end close, deliver accurate management reporting and provide commercial insight to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and perform detailed variance analysis.
• Deliver the month‑end close process within tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
• Develop budgets, forecasts and financial models; act as a business partner to operational and commercial teams.
• Manage all Pakistan tax requirements (WHT, sales tax, corporate income tax), submit filings via the FBR portal and liaise with tax authorities and auditors.
• Maintain strong financial controls, monitor changes in tax legislation and identify opportunities to streamline reporting standards.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
• Proven background in management accounting within an industry‑based finance function.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (financial modelling and data analysis).
• Experience with accounting systems such as Xero and Sage.
• Practical knowledge of Pakistan tax compliance and FBR portal procedures.
