Management Trainee Officer & Business Development Manager – Sales (Karachi)

About the role

EFU Life Assurance Ltd is seeking two full‑time sales professionals for its Karachi office: a Management Trainee Officer in Sales and a Business Development Manager in Sales. The trainee will learn the company’s products, processes and compliance while supporting senior sales teams, whereas the manager will drive new business acquisition and revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior sales staff with prospecting, market research, sales pitch preparation and client meeting assistance.
• Maintain accurate sales reports and pipeline documentation.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities with individual and corporate clients.
• Build and nurture long‑term client relationships to achieve assigned sales and revenue targets.
• Conduct regular client visits across Karachi and participate in sales campaigns and events.
• Ensure adherence to ethical selling practices and regulatory guidelines.

Required profile

• Strong analytical ability to interpret sales, market and financial data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and active‑listening skills.
• Basic understanding of finance concepts related to life insurance and investment‑linked products, or willingness to learn quickly.
• Program management and organizational skills for coordinating sales initiatives and lead follow‑up.
• Awareness of budgeting to work within assigned sales budgets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics or related field; advanced degree or professional certification is a plus for the manager role.
• Demonstrated interest in sales or financial services; prior experience in insurance, banking or FMCG sales is advantageous.
• Goal‑oriented mindset with resilience, negotiation ability and capacity to build long‑term client relationships.
