Manager Credit Scoring & Collection (VP Grade)

About the role

A bank in Karachi is hiring a Manager for credit scoring and collection within its Risk Management department. The role reports to the Senior Manager – Enterprise Risk and covers the digital retail lending portfolio. It is an onsite position, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, at M.T. Khan Road, Karachi.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and implement credit scoring and collection risk management frameworks for the bank's digital retail lending portfolio.
• Coordinate with vendors to develop and enhance credit scoring models, scorecards and automated decision rules.
• Develop customer segmentation and risk-based underwriting strategies using transactional, repayment, behavioural and alternative data.
• Develop and monitor Early Warning Indicators (EWIs) to identify potential delinquency risks.
• Design and optimise pre-delinquency and delinquency collection strategies.
• Analyse portfolio performance, delinquency trends, roll rates, cure rates, recovery rates and vintage performance.
• Monitor scorecard effectiveness and set risk-based cut-offs, thresholds and decision rules.
• Collaborate with Credit Risk, Collections, Business, Data Analytics and Technology teams to implement automated decision engines.
• Set up KPI/KRI reporting and give analytical insights to senior management.
• Ensure proper documentation, governance and continuous monitoring of scoring models and collection strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an HEC-recognised institute.
• 6-8 years of relevant experience.
• Reports to the Senior Manager – Enterprise Risk.
