Manager, Manufacturing APP

About the role

The Manufacturing APP Manager will be a key driver in adidas’ Sourcing strategy, ensuring that our supply base operates with agility, competitiveness, digitalisation and sustainability. The role focuses on delivering quality, production availability and manufacturing efficiency across partner factories while supporting broader corporate goals such as social and environmental performance.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end production, quality and availability targets for assigned factories.
• Escalate critical issues, lead problem‑solving sessions and mitigate potential impacts.
• Collaborate with factory management to apply resources, processes, tools and strategies that achieve operational excellence.
• Roll out adidas best practices and drive adoption of continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Influence middle management on the shop floor to meet production and quality objectives.
• Make day‑to‑day decisions within defined scope, balancing risk and seeking support for complex matters.
• Validate Tier‑1 capacity offers and monitor availability performance when constraints arise.
• Model inclusive leadership and promote a culture of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.

Required profile

• University degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 + years of experience in manufacturing, production management or sourcing environments.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive change.
• Strong analytical and root‑cause problem‑solving mindset.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
