Manager, Materials Operations

About the role

adidas is looking for a Manager, Materials Operations to lead operational activity and drive performance at assigned T2s, supporting material development and product commercialization so that adidas objectives are met. The role also involves developing, coaching and growing the reporting team.

Key responsibilities

• Own T2 operations and supplier performance across development, commercialization and production stages
• Monitor supplier performance, identify risks and coordinate mitigation and improvement plans
• Implement processes and policies, onboard new ones and monitor compliance
• Ensure quality standards are applied and share best practices
• Ensure accurate, timely prototype sample and bulk order fulfilment
• Coordinate counter development activities and drive cross-functional, supply chain initiatives
• Solicit feedback from T2s and escalate improvement opportunities
• Develop, coach and grow team members, identify key talent and build succession plans

Required profile

• University degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Textile Technology or Business Management preferred
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of work experience; related industry preferred
• Apparel development and production experience is an advantage
• Fluent English; knowledge of Mandarin, Vietnamese, Bahasa or German is an advantage

• Good communication, collaboration, people management, negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; analytics and ERP/MRP are a plus
