Manager Strategic Analysis

About the role

This full-time, on-site role in Islamabad focuses on monitoring regional and global developments in public policy, geopolitics and socioeconomic trends, and producing concise, well-reasoned analytical outputs for internal use. It is not an academic or content-focused role and calls for analytical judgment, structured thinking and the ability to work under time constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Track regional and international developments relevant to public policy, geopolitics and socioeconomic issues
• Review material from credible media, policy platforms, research publications and public data sources
• Consolidate information from multiple sources into clear themes and insights, identifying patterns, risks and implications
• Present analysis in a structured and accessible way
• Prepare internal outputs such as briefing notes, summaries, background documents and analytical reports
• Communicate complex issues clearly to non-technical audiences
• Use modern research platforms and analytical tools, and cross-check and validate sources

Required profile

• 18 years of education (MS/MPhil only) in International Relations, with specialization in Strategic Studies, Peace & Conflict Studies, Political Economy, Government & Public Policy or Journalism / Mass Communication
• 3-5 years of experience in research institutes or think tanks, media or policy research, consulting or analytical roles, or policy-focused corporate environments
• Candidates from other academic backgrounds may be considered with 5-7 years of relevant research or analytical experience in policy-facing environments
