Merchandiser (Knitwear)

About the role

The Merchandiser (Knitwear) manages the knitted apparel category for export, from development through shipment, serving an EU apparel brand and managing the supplier base for full path accountability. The position is based in Lahore, Pakistan, and is open to both male and female candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Follow the GTM calendar to meet development deadlines and hand products off to bulk production, coordinating samples and documentation
• Work with the buyer, product manager, designer and garment technologist to resolve issues quickly, review trends and place styles using the sourcing matrix
• Cost styles on component and package models to meet buyer-set margins and run product risk analysis with the quality team
• Build seasonal sourcing allocation plans, book production capacity and raw materials, and monitor production at PO level
• Work with Quality and Compliance on standards, coordinate with Logistics on shipments and manage vendor relationships
• Produce weekly, monthly and seasonal capacity vs. forecast analysis, report on OTD KPI, backlog and slippage, and analyse bulk lead times and post-shipment delays

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in textiles or business from a reputable university
• 5 years of relevant work experience
• Excellent written and spoken English, well versed in the local language
• Able to commute independently
