Mid-Senior AI/ML Engineer

About the role

IKONIC is looking for a Mid‑Senior AI/ML Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine‑learning models. You will work onsite in Islamabad, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver AI‑driven solutions for a global client base.

Key responsibilities

• Build and fine‑tune generative AI models such as LLMs, diffusion models, and transformers for text, image, or multimodal tasks.
• Develop agentic AI frameworks, autonomous agents, and reasoning systems.
• Create AI chatbots and virtual assistants with advanced memory and multi‑turn conversation capabilities.
• Integrate AI/ML solutions into production systems alongside data scientists and product engineers.
• Utilize Python and libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn) to design, train, and deploy models.
• Leverage no‑code/low‑code platforms (Make, Zapier, n8n) for rapid workflow prototyping.
• Optimize algorithms for accuracy, latency, and performance.
• Deploy models on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and manage resources efficiently.
• Use Docker for containerized, reproducible environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in AI/ML engineering.
• Proven portfolio of relevant projects, especially with generative AI.
