Network Engineer - ITSM

About the role

A Network Engineer for ITSM / EITM supports the deployment, configuration and troubleshooting of network and IT service management tools across Pakistan. The role manages ITSM/NMS cases, helps with network design and optimisation, and works with teams to deliver secure, efficient network operations and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Take part actively in deployments across Pakistan
• Open and handle ITSM/NMS cases
• Work with the enterprise architecture team to install, configure and troubleshoot NMS tools such as SolarWinds, ManageEngine, HaloITSM and Quest
• Support network design, integration, optimisation and migration
• Provide engineering support for troubleshooting and help resolve customer satisfaction issues
• Understand and support corporate infrastructure such as network connectivity, internet access and email
• Meet deadlines and timelines for support and deployment turnaround times

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in system administration, NMS and ITSM tools
• Hands-on exposure to real-world IT systems and technologies
• Mentorship from experienced IT professionals and the chance to move into a full-time role based on performance

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of SNMP, ICMP and network protocols
• Understanding of TCP/IP, routing and switching
• Familiarity with ITSM platforms and network management solutions (SolarWinds, ManageEngine)
• Basic concepts of network security, firewalls and troubleshooting
• Technical troubleshooting, clear documentation and effective teamwork
