Network / IT Specialist

About the role

WellnessLiving, a fast-growing software company with over 10 million users worldwide, is looking for a Network / IT Specialist in Islamabad. The role manages computer networks and related systems to keep them running smoothly and securely, and provides technical support to end users. It is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week) with working hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST.

Key responsibilities

• Triage and troubleshoot hardware and software issues reported by users.
• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures.
• Handle, update and follow up on tickets submitted through the ticket system.
• Ensure proper deployment, maintenance and decommissioning of user workstations.
• Provide technical support, set up and install business hardware and software, and train end users.
• Maintain the reliability, security and efficiency of the local IT infrastructure.
• Document processes and maintain, back up and archive data.
• Monitor network performance and manage LAN equipment such as firewalls, switches and access points.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and access controls, and comply with IT compliance policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Network / IT Specialist or in a similar role.
• Experience deploying, provisioning and decommissioning hardware, and managing computers and network equipment.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and attention to detail; able to work independently and in a team.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+ or equivalent are a plus.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of Windows and Office 365 applications and Azure.
• Experience with ticketing systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues.
