Ocean Freight Executive - Imports

About the role

DHL Global Forwarding is looking for an Ocean Freight Executive to handle day-to-day import shipments and related operational activities. The role sits within a logistics environment serving business customers across international and domestic freight.

Key responsibilities

• Develop customer relationships with existing customers.
• Coordinate with key personnel in other functional areas to give customers updates and shipment status.
• Prepare import documentation, including consolidation and de-consolidation.
• Handle manifest and self-manifestation in Weboc/PSW.
• Issue and arrange delivery orders and endorsements.
• Prepare invoices.
• Work with the team to improve procedures and service deliverables, and review and analyse complaints.
• Handle receivables and payables and respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally.

Required profile

• Minimum 2-4 years of import documentation and import operations experience at a freight forwarder or shipping line.
• Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/qualification in a relevant field.

Required skills
