Officer Cash Management & Insurance Operations

About the role

This position supports the bank’s cash management and insurance operations, ensuring cash is available at branches and new locations while maintaining appropriate coverage for cash, assets, and operational risks. The officer will work closely with finance, treasury, and external partners to uphold policies, limits, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and process branch Cash on Counter (COC) requests to guarantee timely cash availability.
• Consolidate cash requirements, monitor cash positions, and arrange cash for new locations.
• Collaborate with branches, Finance, Treasury, partner banks, and cash service providers for cash settlements.
• Monitor branch cash balances against approved limits, identifying shortages, excesses, or unusual movements.
• Perform daily cash reconciliation, investigate discrepancies, and ensure prompt resolution.
• Prepare cash forecasts and management information systems (MIS) for liquidity planning.
• Manage cash‑in‑transit arrangements and ensure compliance with security procedures.
• Oversee cash and operational insurance policies, renewals, endorsements, and documentation.
• Coordinate insurance claims, submit supporting documents, and follow up to settlement.
• Provide operational support to branches on cash limits and insurance matters while maintaining accurate records and regular MIS updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in cash management, branch operations, finance, reconciliation, insurance, or banking operations.
• Experience in micro‑finance or banking operations is preferred.
• Strong coordination, follow‑up, and analytical abilities.
