Officer, Regulatory Reporting

About the role

Habib Metropolitan Bank Limited is looking for an Officer, Regulatory Reporting in Karachi. The role focuses on preparing and submitting regulatory reports in line with State Bank of Pakistan rules and regulations, with a strong emphasis on accurate financial reporting and data analysis. It involves working closely with internal departments to collect and validate data, but does not include team management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit regulatory reports according to State Bank of Pakistan guidelines and deadlines.
• Analyze financial data and market trends to ensure reports are accurate and relevant.
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather the data needed for reporting.
• Verify the completeness and accuracy of data used in regulatory submissions.
• Use MS Excel and other MS Office tools to organize, analyze and present information clearly.
• Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and adjust reporting processes accordingly.
• Identify discrepancies or potential compliance risks and report them to management promptly.
• Support audits and inspections related to financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain documentation and records of regulatory reports and correspondence.
• Communicate with regulatory authorities when clarification or additional data is needed.
• Share knowledge with colleagues and help resolve reporting issues efficiently.

Required profile

• At least two years of hands-on experience in regulatory reporting or similar work.
• Strong foundation in financial reporting and data analysis.
• Ability to interpret market trends and generate accurate reports.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Positive attitude, strong problem-solving ability and cooperative team spirit.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Financial reporting and data analysis.
