Phlebotomist – Full‑time, On‑site in Islamabad

About the role

The Phlebotomist will join Health Next Diagnostics & Labs in Islamabad, working full‑time on‑site in a 24/7 diagnostic facility. The role focuses on safe, accurate blood collection and supporting laboratory workflows to ensure high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws following established protocols.
• Prepare collection equipment, verify patient identity, label and handle specimens correctly.
• Document collection details in laboratory information systems.
• Collaborate with laboratory and medical staff, providing clear explanations to patients.
• Assist with specimen processing, storage, and transport while adhering to quality and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a calm, professional environment and follow infection‑control standards.

Required profile

• Strong blood‑collection skills with emphasis on patient safety and comfort.
• Proficiency in specimen handling, labeling, and processing.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic diagnostic principles.
• Experience or training in medical assisting, vital‑sign measurement, and coordination with clinical staff.
• Relevant certification or diploma in phlebotomy or medical laboratory technology; prior diagnostic‑lab experience is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours in a 24/7 environment and function effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
