Pricing Executive – Ocean Freight

About the role

We are seeking a Pricing Executive – Ocean Freight to lead carrier negotiations and develop pricing strategies that drive revenue and profitability. Based in Karachi, you will act as the key liaison between our network and sea carriers, ensuring optimal solutions for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with sea carriers and negotiate competitive rates.
• Develop and implement pricing strategies for sea freight services.
• Analyze market trends, competitor pricing and customer demand to optimise pricing structures.
• Liaise with carriers to secure capacity and cost‑effective solutions.
• Manage file creation and all services associated with the sea freight product.
• Assist clients with export/import documentation and ensure proper execution.
• Coordinate with DPW Logistics Network and internal operations teams to guarantee service quality.
• Lead, train and evaluate staff, set goals and monitor performance.
• Identify and improve operational issues, audit service performance and recommend enhancements.
• Maintain freight security in line with established procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum); PIFFA diploma preferred.
• At least 3 years recent experience in sea freight forwarding operations and customer service.
• Solid knowledge of the freight forwarding industry and strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to drive initiatives, prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication with clients, carriers and network offices.
