Principal Network Engineer – Data Center & Cloud

About the role

We are looking for a Principal Network Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and operation of our modern data‑center and hybrid‑cloud networking environment. You will work with cutting‑edge technologies across on‑premises, public cloud, and multi‑vendor platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and support Cisco Nexus 9000 spine‑leaf fabrics, vPC, VXLAN, and Cisco ACI where applicable.
• Provide Tier‑2/Tier‑3 incident response for complex networking issues spanning on‑prem, Azure, and hybrid environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Azure networking components such as vWAN, VNets, VPN Gateways, NSGs, and routing patterns.
• Architect and maintain IPSec Site‑to‑Site and Remote Access VPNs across Cisco, Fortinet, and other firewalls.
• Deploy and manage enterprise routing platforms (Cisco ASR, Catalyst) and security devices (ASA, Firepower, FortiGate).
• Implement and optimize routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), MPLS L2/L3 VPNs, VLANs, NAT/PAT, ACLs, and STP.
• Coordinate upgrades, patches, lifecycle management, and change‑control processes.
• Liaise with ISP/MPLS providers and handle escalation with vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, and Microsoft.

Required profile

• 8+ years of hands‑on experience in enterprise or service‑provider networking.
• Deep expertise with high‑end Cisco platforms (ASR, Nexus 9000, Catalyst) and firewall technologies (Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet FortiGate).
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols, MPLS services, and hybrid‑cloud networking.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve multi‑layer network issues in large‑scale environments.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with global teams.
