About the role

Volga Partners is seeking a Principal Software & AI Engineer to lead the design and delivery of enterprise‑grade applications and AI‑powered products. The role blends full‑stack development, system architecture, and advanced machine‑learning techniques in a fast‑paced, hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, architect, and develop scalable enterprise software solutions.
• Lead the creation of AI/ML features and products using modern frameworks.
• Build and maintain high‑performance backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Develop responsive web applications with current frontend frameworks.
• Design database schemas and optimise performance.
• Integrate third‑party services, payment gateways, and cloud‑based solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical code reviews.
• Drive architectural decisions and establish engineering best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of professional software or AI engineering experience.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale production applications.
• Experience leading technical projects and mentoring teams.
• Comfortable working with international and remote teams.
