Process Engineer – Design & Project Engineering

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Process Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands‑on experience in design and project engineering within the oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, or fertilizer sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support facility developments and plant upgrade initiatives.
• Develop, review, and interpret P&IDs, equipment specifications, and data sheets.
• Prepare comprehensive process descriptions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Develop Cause & Effect charts and actively participate in HAZOP, SIL, and related safety studies.
• Perform engineering calculations and simulation studies using standard software.
• Interpret and ensure compliance with relevant international codes and standards.
• Conduct field visits for data gathering, site surveys, and as‑built verification.
• Review vendor documentation, technical bids, and provide technical procurement assistance.
• Provide on‑site and remote engineering support during construction and commissioning phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 + years of design and project engineering experience in oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, or fertilizer industries.
• Strong background in developing process equipment specifications and instrument/equipment data sheets.
• Working knowledge of international codes and standards applicable to onshore upstream oil & gas facilities.
