Product Engineer – AI‑Powered Education Platform (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Product Engineer to design, build, and enhance an AI‑powered education platform. In this remote, full‑time position you will own features from concept through delivery, collaborating closely with cross‑functional teammates and using customer insights and product data to shape what gets built.

Key responsibilities

• Develop full‑stack features on a Ruby on Rails application.
• Utilise AI tooling such as Claude and Codex for planning, prototyping, code generation, and code review.
• Participate in AI‑assisted code review workflows before code enters the deployment pipeline.
• Engage with customers to gather requirements and understand product needs.
• Analyse product usage data and metrics to inform development decisions.
• Prioritise features and determine what should be built without a dedicated product manager.
• Prototype new features with strong product and UX judgement.
• Build both front‑end and back‑end components using a Rails monolith with HTML, CSS, Hotwire, and light JavaScript.
• Implement user interfaces to a near pixel‑perfect standard from design systems.
• Adapt to shifting business priorities across projects.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience developing full‑stack applications with Ruby on Rails.
• 3+ years of experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the Hotwire stack.
• 3+ years of solid working knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience using AI‑assisted engineering tools such as Claude or Codex.
• Strong product and UX judgement, able to make decisions based on customer insight and data.
