Production Manager – Plastic Rigid Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our rigid plastics manufacturing facility. The role involves overseeing multiple production lines that use extrusion blow molding, injection molding, and related technologies to meet quality and delivery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily, weekly and monthly production schedules to achieve output and delivery goals.
• Optimize machine utilization, mold changeovers, cycle times and overall equipment effectiveness while minimizing downtime and scrap.
• Supervise multi‑shift operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and food‑grade standards.
• Monitor and improve EBM, IM, IBM and ISBM processes, troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with the maintenance and tooling teams.
• Lead, train and develop supervisors and operators, fostering continuous improvement.
• Maintain production records, generate management reports and support ERP‑based planning (SAP Business One or equivalent).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Polymer or Plastics Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 7–10 years of hands‑on experience in rigid plastics manufacturing, including EBM, IM, IBM and ISBM.
• Minimum 3 years in a production leadership role managing multi‑line, multi‑shift operations.
• Proven track record of process optimisation, mold/tooling changeovers and yield improvement.
• Experience with PP, PET, HDPE or similar resins in rigid packaging or kitchenware.
