Production Officer (Non-Derms)

About the role

You will support and improve production at GSK's Pakistan manufacturing site. Working closely with operators, maintenance, quality, and contractors, you will ensure equipment runs safely and reliably while developing your technical skills.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment to meet safety, quality, output targets and OEE goals.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and coordinate timely repairs with maintenance and contractors.
• Maintain accurate production and maintenance records, including downtime, changeovers and shift handovers.
• Support Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and site EHS standards, conduct L1 EHS audits, record observations, prepare CAPA and monitor closures.
• Supervise, coach and support technicians or operators to maintain consistent shift performance.
• Ensure LOTO application and assist in incident investigations and root‑cause analysis.
• Handle deviations, follow CAPA procedures and contribute to continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Pharm‑D degree.
• 1‑2 years of hands‑on experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.
• Practical knowledge of production equipment operation, coating, filling, packing and Liquid Otics manufacturing.
• Experience supervising small teams or coaching technicians.
• Ability to read technical documents, maintain accurate operational records and conduct risk assessments.
• Strong verbal communication and a continuous‑improvement mindset.

Required skills

• Pharm‑D qualification.
• Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) knowledge.
• Operation of coating, filling, packing equipment and Liquid Otics processes.
• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• SAP or other production record systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Lock‑out/Tag‑out (LOTO) procedures.
• EHS audit execution and CAPA management.
