Programme Analyst – Women’s Economic Empowerment & Humanitarian Assistance

About the role

UN Women is seeking a Programme Analyst to support its Women’s Economic Empowerment and Humanitarian Assistance portfolio in Pakistan. The role will translate strategic objectives into concrete programme actions that enhance the economic resilience of vulnerable women and girls.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design, formulation and evaluation of gender‑focused economic empowerment programmes.
• Monitor implementation results, collect and analyse data, and prepare regular progress reports.
• Coordinate with programme partners, community groups and government agencies to ensure effective delivery of services.
• Support resource mobilisation, budgeting and financial tracking for assigned projects.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of programme systems, procedures and knowledge management tools.

Required profile

• University degree in development studies, economics, gender studies, social sciences or a related field.
• Relevant experience in programme management, monitoring and evaluation, preferably in gender equality or humanitarian contexts.
• Strong understanding of women’s economic empowerment, sustainable livelihoods and inclusive development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment and travel within Pakistan as required.
