Project Engineering Analyst

About the role

The Project Engineering Analyst will support UNDP’s Resilience, Environment and Climate Change Unit (RECCU) in Pakistan. The analyst will contribute to project design, implementation monitoring, and climate‑change adaptation initiatives that aim to strengthen the capacities of vulnerable communities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and technical review of project proposals, work plans, and budgets related to climate‑resilience and environmental services.
• Collect, analyse, and visualise data on climate impacts, flood risk, and community vulnerability.
• Support monitoring and evaluation activities, including the preparation of progress reports and performance indicators.
• Coordinate with government agencies, civil‑society partners, and UN stakeholders to ensure alignment with national development frameworks.
• Provide technical input for the integration of environmental considerations into broader development planning.

Required profile

• University degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
• Experience working on climate‑change, disaster‑risk reduction, or development projects in a multi‑stakeholder environment.
• Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with data collection and reporting tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
