Purchaser – Civil Construction Procurement

About the role

We are seeking a Purchaser to manage end‑to‑end procurement of civil construction materials, equipment, tools and services. The role supports project teams by sourcing reliable suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring timely delivery to keep construction schedules on track.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and select suppliers for civil construction materials, equipment, tools and services in line with project specifications.
• Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements and negotiate prices, quality standards, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Issue purchase orders, monitor order status and coordinate deliveries to ensure materials are available on site when needed.
• Collaborate with Execution, Planning, Stores, Finance and Procurement teams to guarantee uninterrupted project execution.
• Maintain up‑to‑date supplier records, procurement documentation and purchase history.
• Drive cost‑saving initiatives, competitive sourcing and value‑engineering opportunities.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, approved budgets and required quality standards.

Required profile

• B.Tech or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 6–8 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably within civil construction.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction materials, local market rates and supplier landscape.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using ERP or dedicated procurement systems.
