Purchasing Assistant - Raw Materials

About the role

The Izmir Office in Lahore is looking for a Purchase Assistant for raw materials, a key role focused on ensuring the consistent and cost-effective supply of essential materials. It is described as a permanent position contributing to operational efficiency and supply chain excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end raw material procurement process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely availability.
• Source, evaluate and onboard new suppliers, manage existing vendors and build strong vendor relationships.
• Run RFQs, prepare comparative statements and negotiate prices to achieve cost-effective sourcing.
• Process purchase orders accurately and verify invoices against received goods and purchase orders.
• Coordinate with inventory teams to optimise stock levels and support procurement planning.
• Track deliveries and work with internal departments and suppliers to resolve discrepancies or delays.
• Support cost reduction through strategic sourcing and effective vendor management.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of demonstrable experience in raw material procurement.
• A relevant qualification in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Commerce.
• Proven ability in supplier sourcing, vendor management, RFQ management, price negotiation and purchase order processing.
• Preferred: experience in scrap procurement, familiarity with material inspection, knowledge of procurement budget preparation, fluency in English and Urdu.

Required skills

• Proficiency with an ERP system for procurement tasks.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting and comparative statements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and coordination skills.
