Quality Control Manager – Pharmaceutical Industry

About the role

The Quality Control Manager will lead the QC department in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, ensuring testing procedures, SOPs, and compliance with GMP and ISO standards are consistently applied.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of five QC personnel, driving performance and development.
• Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs for raw material, in‑process, and finished‑goods testing.
• Oversee calibration, validation, and maintenance of laboratory instruments to guarantee accurate results.
• Investigate out‑of‑specification results, conduct root‑cause analysis and execute CAPA.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation, batch records, audit trails, and reports for internal and regulatory audits.
• Coordinate internal audits and support external audits by regulatory bodies, customers, and certification agencies.
• Train and mentor staff on testing protocols, documentation standards, and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with Production, R&D, and Procurement to resolve quality issues and support process improvements.
• Monitor supplier and raw‑material quality, assist in vendor qualification, and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Report quality metrics and KPIs to senior management and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
