Red Hat OpenShift Platform Administrator

About the role

The Red Hat OpenShift Platform Administrator is responsible for deploying, operating, and continuously improving OpenShift environments, including Container Platform, Hosted Control Plane, and OpenShift Virtualization. The role ensures secure, reliable, and high‑performance operation of containerized applications and virtual workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, administer, and maintain Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and Hosted Control Plane (HCP) clusters.
• Perform lifecycle management such as upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and platform maintenance.
• Manage OpenShift Virtualization workloads and Kubernetes resources (Namespaces, Deployments, StatefulSets, etc.).
• Implement automation using CI/CD, GitOps, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Integrate storage solutions (ODF, Portworx, NFS, SAN) and manage networking components (DNS, Load Balancers, Ingress Controllers).
• Provide platform support, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
• Strong Linux system administration and deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Tekton) and GitOps solutions (Argo CD).
