Regional Finance Controller – MENA

About the role

We are looking for an experienced finance professional with a strong audit background to lead finance operations across Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and Egypt. The role will standardise processes, enforce controls, and ensure compliance while supporting local teams.

Key responsibilities

• Map and redesign accounting and payment workflows in each country, establishing approval hierarchies and segregation of duties.
• Standardise month‑end close procedures, review trial balances, reconciliations and produce consolidated management reports.
• Lead internal audit activities, perform spot checks, ensure local tax/VAT compliance and coordinate with external auditors.
• Train and coach local accountants, liaise with country managers and report control violations to group management.
• Assess current ERP/accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, spreadsheets) and recommend low‑cost workflow automation solutions such as Power Automate.

Required profile

• 5+ years of finance/audit experience, preferably with a Big 4 or mid‑tier audit firm.
• Hands‑on experience in at least two MENA countries, with a strong preference for KSA exposure.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, able to explain controls to non‑English speakers.
• Proven track record fixing broken payment approval processes in multi‑location environments.
• Deep knowledge of month‑end close, reconciliations, internal controls and audit trails.
