Remote Bookkeeper for Dental Practices

About the role

Compass Accounts, an accounting practice serving dental professionals, is looking for a remote Bookkeeper to support its UK‑based team and Pakistani clients. You will ensure accurate financial records and timely information for multiple dental clinics.

Key responsibilities

• Record and reconcile daily financial transactions for dental practices and related entities.
• Maintain sales, purchase, bank, expense and general ledger records with high attention to detail.
• Process invoices, receipts, payments and supporting documentation according to client requirements.
• Assist with month‑end procedures, account reviews and preparation of working papers for accountants.
• Identify discrepancies, investigate unusual entries and promptly escalate issues.
• Organise digital records and maintain clear audit trails across multiple clinic locations.
• Communicate professionally with the accounting team and provide timely updates on outstanding information.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of practical bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of double‑entry bookkeeping, ledgers, bank reconciliation and transaction coding.
• Ability to process invoices, expenses, receipts and payments accurately.
• Competence with spreadsheets, including formulas, sorting and filtering.
• Experience using cloud accounting platforms or similar bookkeeping systems.
• Careful approach to reconciliations, error checking, deadlines and confidentiality.
• Clear written communication and ability to work independently in a fully remote team.
