Remote R Engineer – AI Content Review (Hourly)

About the role

We are looking for a remote R Engineer to join SME Careers on an hourly contract. You will review AI‑generated responses, create high‑quality R‑based content, and evaluate the reasoning and statistical soundness of each solution.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated answers, identify statistical or data‑wrangling errors, and fact‑check analytical results.
• Write expert‑level explanations, model solutions, and detailed prompts to guide AI learning.
• Rate and compare multiple AI responses based on correctness, clarity, and reasoning quality.
• Develop AI training content by crafting prompts and responses across diverse topics.
• Test AI models for inaccuracies or bias and validate their reliability.

Required profile

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience using R for data analysis, statistics, or data science.
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Professional experience in a data‑focused role such as data scientist, statistician, or quantitative analyst.
• Strong English writing skills (C1 level) and ability to explain complex statistical ideas to non‑experts.
• Experience using large language models (LLMs) to assist with coding, analysis design, or code review.

Required skills

• R programming (data wrangling, functional programming, reusable functions/packages).
• Familiarity with tidyverse, data.table, and ggplot2.
• Applied statistics: regression, inference, model validation.
• End‑to‑end analysis workflow: data cleaning, exploratory analysis, modeling, visualization.
• LLM‑assisted coding and analysis design.
