Research Engineer - Electrical, Mechanical & Chemical (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a PhD‑level Research Engineer to develop and optimise advanced solutions across electrical, mechanical and chemical domains. The position is fully remote and contract‑based, allowing you to collaborate with cross‑functional teams on high‑impact projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and validate electrical, mechanical, or chemical systems according to project specifications.
• Conduct theoretical modelling and experimental validation to ensure performance and reliability.
• Develop and refine algorithms or processes that improve efficiency and scalability.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders and leadership.
• Provide expert troubleshooting and optimisation recommendations for existing systems.

Required profile

• PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Proven experience in applied research, system design, or process optimisation within the relevant engineering discipline.
• Ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical, scalable engineering solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder updates.
