Resettlement Specialist – Consultant

About the role

The National Highway Authority (NHA) in Islamabad seeks a Resettlement Specialist on a consultancy basis to design, implement and monitor resettlement activities linked to national highway projects, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement resettlement plans for affected communities.
• Coordinate with government agencies, local communities and other stakeholders.
• Conduct assessments and monitor progress of resettlement activities.
• Prepare reports and documentation for management and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical guidance on social and resettlement matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in resettlement, social development or infrastructure projects.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Mid‑level professional experience.
