Security Guard

About the role

The Security Guard will ensure the safety and security of personnel, beneficiaries, and assets at International Medical Corps (IMC) health facilities. The role involves screening visitors, monitoring premises, and enforcing IMC security protocols to protect the mission’s operations.

Key responsibilities

• Screen all personnel and beneficiaries entering health facilities and verify authorization.
• Control access to IMC buildings, coordinating with the guard supervisor or warehouse manager for any unauthorized entry.
• Maintain a logbook of security events and report incidents promptly to the supervisor.
• Track movement of IMC property in and out of compounds, preventing unauthorized removal.
• Patrol assigned compounds according to the work schedule and remain vigilant at all times.
• Ensure security lighting is operational from sunset to sunrise.
• Verify that doors are closed and locked after staff leave and report any missing items or breaches.
• Implement IMC security protocols continuously while on duty.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant security service experience.
• Good physical health, stamina, and ability to perform duties safely.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Reliability in meeting schedules and deadlines.
• Fluency in written and spoken language as required by the assignment.
• Previous experience with International Medical Corps is a plus.
