Senior Account Manager – UK Market

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Account Manager to lead a portfolio of UK‑based SME clients. You will act as the trusted advisor, overseeing all accounting and compliance services while ensuring high‑quality client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts and year‑end files in full compliance with UK GAAP.
• Oversee bookkeeping, VAT returns, payroll and corporation tax computations for each client.
• Submit accurate filings to HMRC and Companies House within statutory deadlines.
• Advise clients on tax planning, compliance requirements and financial best practices.
• Maintain internal controls and quality‑assurance processes.
• Serve as the primary day‑to‑day contact for a dedicated client portfolio, delivering clear financial reporting in English.
• Mentor junior team members and coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CA or CIMA).
• 3‑5+ years of hands‑on experience with UK accounting standards, VAT and corporation tax.
• Proven experience managing a client portfolio in a professional services environment.
• Fluent, professional English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Current knowledge of HMRC regulations and filing deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with UK accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, CAPEM and Sage.
