Senior Analyst - Rules (Trade Documents)

About the role

A highly skilled Trade Document Specialist is sought for the Rules Product Team, based in Pakistan or India. This is a cross-functional role combining deep expertise in trade finance with hands-on experience managing incoming Letters of Credit (LCs) and amendments. You will help turn trade expertise into structured rule logic for an AI-driven trade document checking platform, working closely with Product and Technology teams to improve automation and client outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and teach the system clause requirements through the Rule Engine.
• Process daily document volumes accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure adherence to Quality and Turnaround Time (TAT) KPIs according to client SLAs.
• Take part in testing cycles: prepare test cases, run tests and validate results in the testing environment.
• Identify and mitigate operational and financial risks in trade document processing.
• Guide and mentor new team members on domain knowledge and processes.

Required profile

• 4-6 years of experience in trade transaction processing.
• Undergraduate or postgraduate degree (BBA, B.Com, MBA or equivalent).
• CDCS certification or document checking experience of at least 4-6 years.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and excellent time management in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of UCP 600, ISBP (latest edition) and related trade finance standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and written and spoken English.
• Preferred: prior involvement in automation or digitization initiatives, and basic understanding of AI, machine learning and cloud infrastructure.
