Senior Android Developer – Islamabad

About the role

Bright Byte is seeking a Senior Android Developer to join its Islamabad team. You will be responsible for delivering high‑performance Android applications that meet client needs and drive digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Android apps using Java and Kotlin.
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Translate designs and wireframes into clean, reusable code.
• Identify and fix bottlenecks, bugs, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Integrate with back‑end APIs, REST services, and third‑party libraries.
• Conduct unit testing and code reviews, and merge code from junior developers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of professional Android development experience.
• Published at least one original Android application.
• Strong understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle.

Required skills

• Java and Kotlin programming.
• Android SDK, AOSP, and UI design principles.
• Git version control.
• RESTful APIs, JSON handling.
• Offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Experience with cloud messaging APIs and push notifications.
• Familiarity with third‑party libraries and Android ecosystem.
