Senior Auditor - Financial Compliance and Risk Assessment

About the role

Ashraf Group of Companies is hiring a Senior Auditor in Lahore to examine and verify the accuracy of financial records and ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements and generally accepted accounting principles. The role requires a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills to assess financial statements, internal controls and risk exposure. The auditor also leads a team of 10 professionals, overseeing audit planning and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify the accuracy of company accounts, financial records, vouchers and transactions against applicable standards and policies.
• Conduct internal audits to check compliance with procedures, regulations and accounting principles.
• Perform bank reconciliations and review payments, receipts, purchases, sales and expenses to spot discrepancies.
• Identify financial risks and control weaknesses through testing of internal controls.
• Verify the existence and valuation of inventory and fixed assets.
• Ensure financial transactions meet tax regulations and legal requirements.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, risks and recommendations, and present them to senior management.
• Recommend improvements to financial controls, accounting procedures and audit methods.
• Coordinate with external auditors on communication and documentation.
• Lead and manage a team of 10 audit professionals, setting objectives, guiding activities and reviewing work.
• Maintain confidentiality and use data analytics to support audit planning, testing and reporting.
