Senior Backend Developer – PHP / Laravel

About the role

E Technologies is looking for a Senior Backend Developer with deep expertise in PHP and Laravel to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems that power web, mobile, and internal products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications using PHP and Laravel.
• Design clean, secure, and scalable REST APIs for web and mobile clients.
• Create and optimise database schemas, queries, migrations, and relationships in MySQL.
• Implement authentication, role‑based access, payment flows, notifications, reporting, and third‑party integrations.
• Build admin panels, dashboards, internal tools, and backend workflows.
• Work with queues, scheduled tasks, background jobs, caching, and performance optimisation.
• Troubleshoot production issues, investigate bugs, and improve system stability.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code and conduct code reviews.
• Mentor junior developers and help raise backend development standards.
• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, QA, DevOps, and product teams.

Required profile

• Strong professional experience with PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Proven ability to design and deliver robust REST APIs.
• Deep understanding of MySQL database design, indexing, and query optimisation.
• Experience with authentication, OAuth, API tokens, and secure backend access.
• Professional English communication skills.
