Senior Consultant – Global Compliance and Reporting

About the role

EY is looking for a Senior Consultant to join its Global Compliance and Reporting (GCR) team in Islamabad. You will lead complex tax engagements, manage client compliance and reporting, and help grow the GCR practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team in delivering tax services, combining technical expertise with commercial, legislative and industry knowledge.
• Manage day‑to‑day client engagements, monitor progress, standardise processes and mitigate risks.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to ensure high‑quality service delivery.
• Supervise and coach junior team members, fostering a positive learning culture.
• Ensure adherence to EY’s Tax Quality guidelines and drive performance‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Excellent communicator with strong attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, taxation or a related field; advanced degree or professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT) preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in domestic and international tax rules, tax accounting and tax auditing, preferably within a large professional services firm.
• Proven managerial, organisational and project‑management experience.
• Experience working with multinational clients in a multicultural environment.
• Highly motivated, problem‑solver able to prioritise shifting workloads.
