Senior DevOps Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure & Automation

About the role

Edge is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own the design, deployment, and operation of its AWS‑based cloud platform. You will collaborate with software, QA, IT and product teams to build secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure that supports global healthcare staffing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and optimise AWS environments (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Load Balancers, Lambda, etc.) across dev, staging and production.
• Implement and maintain IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation, ensuring consistent configurations.
• Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring and operational workflows with Bash/Python scripts.
• Manage containerised workloads on Docker and Amazon EKS, defining deployment strategies and scaling policies.
• Own monitoring, logging and alerting (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus) and lead incident response and root‑cause analysis.
• Enforce cloud security best practices, manage IAM policies, secrets and compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive DevOps best practices across teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering or related roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS production environments.
• Proven ability to design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Extensive experience with Linux command‑line and scripting (Bash, Python).
• Solid understanding of networking, IAM, security and cost optimisation.
