Senior Dispatch Officer

About the role

The Senior Dispatch Officer is responsible for overseeing daily local, upcountry and export dispatch operations, managing warehousing activities and ensuring accurate stock records. The role requires systematic handling of ERP transactions, coordination with logistics partners and strict adherence to health, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily dispatch activities across local stations, upcountry routes and export shipments.
• Control warehousing processes, maintain stock accuracy and oversee loading/unloading operations.
• Process outbound Delivery Notes, Sales Invoices, Goods Issue Slips and Gate Passes in the ERP system before physical dispatch.
• Coordinate with internal teams, Customer Service and courier vendors to provide order status updates.
• Track daily and monthly sales targets (volume and value) and ensure documentation compliance.
• Enforce safe material handling, PPE usage and HSE protocols for warehouse staff and third‑party drivers.
• Maintain relationships with logistics vendors, shipping lines and freight forwarders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing dispatch and warehousing operations.
• Ability to execute ERP transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance in a warehouse environment.
• Effective coordination skills with internal departments and external logistics partners.
