Senior Engineering Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

The Senior Engineering Manager will oversee multiple construction sites across Karachi and Lower Sindh, handling new builds, maintenance, solar installations and special projects. The role ensures that all works are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise construction and post‑construction activities for new, maintenance and special projects.
• Develop and maintain KPI tracking systems, including APM dashboards, to monitor time, cost and quality performance.
• Review and verify contractor bills, BOQs, BBS and variations against actual work completed.
• Lead a team of engineers across sites, conduct regular site inspections and contractor meetings.
• Ensure compliance with design drawings, codes, specifications and material standards.
• Identify potential delays, especially material shortages, and communicate proactively to stakeholders.
• Prepare and present project status reports using MS Project and Power BI.

Required profile

• Minimum 17 years of experience in civil engineering field execution, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proven ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, electrical and plumbing drawings.
• Strong knowledge of building construction, quantity surveying and structural rehabilitation methods.
• Willingness to travel frequently to project sites.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
